20th Annual ‘Hit the Links & Drive Against Disabilities’
For the 20th year in a row, golfers ‘Hit the Links’ for charity at United Cerebral Palsy of Nebraska’s annual golf tournament to raise money for cerebral palsy and similar disorders.
The annual golf tournament held on Monday, June 12 raised approximately $20,000 and attracted over 140 golfers to Omaha’s only 27-hole private course, the prestigious Player’s Club.
The tournament featured a four man/woman scramble. Honorary Chair, Clete Blakeman greeted golfer’s upon their arrival. The morning began with a pouring rain, but it didn’t stop the teams from competing. Breakfast, lunch and refreshments were provided throughout the day.
For twenty years, ‘Hit the Links & Drive Against Disabilities’ has helped support individuals in need across our state. We want to extend our thanks to the players, sponsors and volunteers who teamed up with UCP to give back to the community by making ‘Hit the Links’ a tremendous success every year!
